About Us Dr. Gregory T. Lawton founded Clinical Health Maintenance in 1980. Dr. Lawton began his undergraduate training at Arizona State University in psychology and probation science. He is a graduate of the five year chiropractic program at the University of Health Sciences and a licensed Chiropractor in Michigan. He is a graduate of the four year naprapathic medicine program at the National College of Naprapathic Medicine and a licensed Naprapath in Illinois. Dr. Lawton is nationally board certified in Chiropractic, Radiology, Acupuncture (Diplomat), Martial Arts, and Physical Therapy. Dr. Lawton is a health science writer and the author of over one hundred books, manuals and educational products ranging from health promotion and alternative medicine to - medical manual therapy, nutrition, herbal medicine, holistic health care, medical acupuncture, personal training, hydrotherapy, and naturopathy.
Dr. Lawton began his martial art training at the age of five and he has trained in Aikido, Judo, Kenpo, Tai Chi Chuan, Pa Kua, Hsing Yi, Hap Do Sool, and Shorin Ryu. During his fifty-five years of martial arts training he trained in oriental healing arts including massage (Tui Na), oriental medicine philosophy, and oriental herbal medicine. He received post graduate training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the National College of Chiropractic, the New York School of Chiropractic and the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (Diplomat). Dr. Lawton is a certified acupuncturist in Idaho.
Sensei Lawton holds martial art rank as an 8th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate (Hachidan) and is a master certified instructor and master certified examiner (USMA.) Clinic Manager - All CHM Locations Grace Hinkle R.N., C.M.T., Is the clinic manager. Grace received her R.N. degree at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and her massage therapy certification at the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Tim Parker C.M.T., is a medical masage therapist who supervises the clinics in all CHM Locations Linda Hegstrand, M.D., Ph.D., is a medical physician. Dr. Hegstrand is the clinics Medical Director. Ramin Rahimi, D.O., FAAPMR, is a licensed physician in private practice who specializes in the medical treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic pain. Dr. Rahimi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Our Dedicated Staff in Grand Rapids, Michigan Carol Jo Baggerly, D.N., R.D.A., M.M.T., M.H., is the academy director of the medical massage and manual therapy programs at the Blue Heron Academy. Dr. Carol Baggerly is a Naprapath and a licensed dental assistant and medical massage and medical manual therapy instructor and therapist. Virginia G. Dusseau, M.A., L.P.C., is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice who specializes in business and private development. Douglas K. Chung, M.S.W., M.A., Ph.D., is a Professor who teaches classes in Qigong Therapy, Energy Management in mind, body and spirit integration for holistic health. Ellen Chen is an instructor in Qigong and Tai Chi. John Aldred B.S., C.Ac., C.M.T., practices and teaches Tai Chi, Personal Trainer, acupressure and massage therapy in our Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Lansing, campus. John received his bachelor of science in health and fitness, prevention and rehabilitation at Central Michigan. He received his acupressure and massage therapy certification from Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Annett Hardy, C.M.T., H.H.P., is the director of the holistic health program at the Blue Heron Academy and is a medical massage therapist and holistic health practitioner in private practice. Ray Wan, C.M.T., M.Ac., practices the acupressure and massage therapy. Ray received his medical massage and acupuncture certification from the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Our Dedicated Staff in Kalamazoo, Michigan Dan Morris, C.M.T., C.A., M.H., is a medical massage therapist who teaches in Kalamazoo Michigan. Dan received his medical massage therapy certification, chiropractic assistant certification and master herbalist certification from Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Steven Fischer C.M.T., is a medical massage therapist who is an assistant in the massage therapy program in the Kalamazoo campus. Steven received his massage therapy certification at the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences.

Chris received his associate’s degree in Arts and Science at Muskegon Community College and his massage therapy certification at the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences.
Our Dedicated Staff in Muskegon, Michigan Paige Bradford C.M.T., Is a medical massage therapist who practices and teachers medical massage in our Muskegon clinic. Our Dedicated Staff in Traverse City, Michigan Christi Watts, B.S., C.M.T., P.T., is a medical massage therapist who practices and teaches in our Traverse City clinic. Christi received her bachelor of science and major in health science form Grand Valley State University. She received her massage therapy and personal training certificates from Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Our Dedicated Staff in Troy, Michigan Megan Hester B.A., C.M.T., Is a medical massage therapist who practices and teaches medical massage in our Troy clinic. Megan received her bachelor of science in psychology from Western Michigan University and her massage therapy certification at the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Our Dedicated Staff in South Bend, Indiana Kelly Johnson, B.S.N.S.,C.M.T., C.A., C.N. M. H., teaches medical massage therapy in Niles, Michigan. Kelly received her associates degree in business computer programming from Kankakee Community College. She also received her medical massage therapy certification, chiropractic assistant certification, clinical nutrition certification and master herbalist certification from Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences. Jill Fortier C.M.T., Is a medical massage therapist who teaches medical massage therapy in our South Bend campus.
